If you need to cancel your shift after 5pm the day before your shift or the day of your shift then please call the store at (940) 808-1611 and either talk to a staff member or leave a message. Removing yourself from the online schedule the day of will not be adequate.

If you are having issues with self-scheduling then please contact the Volunteer Manager at volunteer@scrapdenton.org.

How to Schedule Using the Online Scheduling System

• Click the Volunteer Login.
• In the Login name field, enter the email address you used to apply at SCRAP (this will be the one that your monthly scheduling reminders come to). If you are not sure which email you used then email Shay.
• In the Password field, enter your VicNet password. You will be receiving a temporary password from Volunteer Manager.
• If you forget your password: Click the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page. You will be prompted to enter your email address, and click the Go button.
• If you continue to experience difficulty accessing your information, please contact Volunteer Manager. They can send you your VicNet password by email.

Navigating the Volunteer Information Center

Hitting the EXIT button on any page will log you out of the system.

The Home tab

Upon logging into the Volunteer Information Center, you will be on the Home tab. There you will see events that you can either volunteer at or support SCRAP at as well as news updates.

From the Home tab, you can access any of the other tabs, or click on any buttons or links.

The My Profile tab

The Profile tab lets you see and update your personal information. For example, you can use this tab to update your address, telephone numbers, and emergency contact. We also ask that volunteers upload a clear photo of yourself. 

We ask this so that staff who do not work on the same day as you volunteer will learn who you are. If you do not have a photo that you would like to use, someone will happily take one for you at SCRAP.

The My Schedule tab

This tab lets you view and print your schedule, in addition to adding or removing yourself from a schedule. You can check the general calendar or choose to look at each of your assignments individually such as “Store” or “Event Support.”

If you are working an event and need to cancel the night before or day of you will need to contact the staff or volunteer in charge of the event. You will have received this information prior to the event.

The My Service History tab

On this tab, it is possible to see the records or your service or the total number of hours you have served for the organization. This information can be used informally for applications or references.

The Time Sheet tab

If you need to enter your hours for homework, committees or other service information online, the Time Sheet tab is where you will do so.

Please choose the correct assignment for the list available and choose the appropriate day and time. 

If you are working on a homework task on your own time such as bagging embroidery floss or measuring trim over a period of a few days, just choose one day during that time period and log all your hours for that one assignment together.
Do not log any hours for your weekly store shift or events that you signed for in the Volunteer Information Center such as info booths, craft tables or work parties.  The hours are logged and we do not want duplicates.

If you do not see the assignment you need listed or are unsure of what event to choose, please contact Volunteer Manager.

The Account tab

Finally, the Account tab, where you can change your password.
